The book starts out with the only text you'll ever see - "Photography is about being personal - Petter Hegre." And from this infamous quote, artistry is born. This book is an incredible journey through the personal, exposing all the glory and horror of being intimate with humanity.
Just look at this list of images:
- Gay Day - Manhattan, New York - A man at the Gay Pride parade holds up his hand in triumph. He is shirtless, smiling, and wearing only tight white underwear. Yet the scar on his belly speaks something strange. What is his history? You want to know, but you never will.
- Ericsson - Norway - A young man is turning back at the camera as he stumbles near a door. Thing is, he's wearing women's nylons, a bra, and panties. He looks as startled to be caught as a deer in headlights.
