Is this a particularly great camera? No not really, but like any Polaroid instamatic it does the job it needs to do and will probably last me a lot longer then the film it’s made for is available. If I’m not mistaken it has an aperture range of about three stops, a flash range of less then ten feet, and a focus range that would make even the cheapest SLR lens look fantastic. On the plus side though, it does take larger then normal Polaroid film which is nice when you want to view a lot of images laid out on a table quickly and efficiently.

Polaroid cameras like this where never meant to be much more then simple point, click, and then get an instant picture kind of deals. These days with point and shoot digitals becoming easier and easier to afford the days of Polaroid may be numbered. Sure, a lot of art aficionados have taken up the Polaroid medium for various things like emulsion transfers, collages, etc, but that’s not really what I’m about at this stage in my photographic career.
