Best of luck... Just wanted to wish you all the best of luck. I recently hooked up with a wonderful girl from New York who came to visit me in L.A. for almost a week. She's coming back in a couple of days and amazingly things seem to be working out with us. It's funny that life comes at you from all kinds of unexpected directions. Mark, you never know, maybe shes looking for a selfish jerk jock with a Rydell High sweater... probably not. I've heard different views on the "love at first sight" idea. Pictures and videos can reveal a lot more about a person's character that you realise. If you know how to read body language (or have the innate ability to read a person that way) you can get as much as 70 or 80 percent of the person's character in some cases. That doesn't mean there it's a good idea to chuck caution out the window and hope it doesn't hit anyone. Sometimes that 20 to 30 percent you don't see is very important. Jocks and Jerks HI Sam No Offense taken mate at all. I just think she would be daft to meet a guy out of her comfort zone (home) when all she has had are some pictures and an application form and then some posts on here! We can all be anything we choose to be on the internet! Did you not know James Bonds character was modelled on my own!! ROFL... I can write anything about myself and make it sound great if I am good at writing! We also can all be attracted to just a picture and a few nice letters or messages! a note to Sam Z and everyone else You made a lot of good points, just as Simon, Number 17, and Number 11 did before you. I don't think using Kiwi as an example illustrates your point,though, seeing as the kiwi dies in the end. I believe that everything requires balance, and that balance is lacking in a large part of the world. Travelling to Ukraine to meet Nika is a good idea and if it's someone who's never been there, it might be an exciting new experience. This may be unbalanced, however, unless maybe you make plans to meet Nika in her home town and then, if everything works out, the two of you travel back to your home town. That way you both get an idea of the other person's life and get a better idea if you are both compatible. I not agree Simon When you look backward to see what is your life, you must look at your memories, the things do you remember from your experiences. And reality is where we must live our experiences. If we always think in all the posibilities of doing something, it is sure that we can found enough to make us decide to not doing that thing. At that point reality, turned into posibility, lead us to rutine. You wake up, take breakfast, go to work/study, take lunch, continue to work/study, take dinner, go to sleep... and so on... have not you the feeling that the past week is the same as the actual one? It happends even with months and years. Without experience, you can not remember, you have not memories, you have not lived, you have existed. She wanna jump? I can only celebrate it and ask, can I jump with you? By the way, where is writed that if we want meet her we must first go to the place she lives? She wants a hot place to take some holidays with one of us. Perfect. It will be a failure or a success, but I will think about the result just after I lived the experience, not before. Cause if I think that something can be wrong, Im preparing myself to that posibility, and with that thought on my mind I will make that posibility a reality. You know, Mark, that was a very rational letter to go along with Simon. So, since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I am now going with you. I would fly to Ukraine, make sure that there is a connection, and then take the necessary steps retaining the best advisors to make sure that there is no visa issue. After all, I speak Russian and have never been to Ukraine, so it's all good. I agree Simon Hi Simon I would echo your sentiments to the letter. There is no way I would meet a girl on a blind date holiday because it could just be awfull if there is no chemistry. If Nika chooses to meet me then I would go to see her in the Ukraine first and spend a few days in her company. Reality Check! Hi, everyone... I think most of this talk about getting Nika a visa so she can spend vacation time with you seems a bit premature. Surely whoever meets Nika will have to visit her in her home town first. I don't want to sound pessimistic but relationships are more complicated than this. What if you don't get along? What if the spark isn't there? And you're going to expect to have a vacation together? Before embarking on what is potentially an awkward and embarrassing misadventure for you both you should ask yourself, are you're prepared to go to her town in Ukraine for what is basically a "blind date"? Having had experience of traveling abroad to meet several Ukrainian girls based on photographs and emails (my trip was to Odessa where I arranged to meet several over the space of a week) I can say that this is a very hit-or-miss thing. If you're really prepared to do whaterver it takes to meet Nika on her own turf then go for it. But don't expect it to be what you want just because you want it! Just a reality check for everyone... help with visa oh my god... do you need our help with your visa? please please please you must not say that more that one time. I guess that everyone around will be ready to do whatever you need, so I am. HI Nika I will give you the choice of Dubai where for you to get a visa is very easy or Thailand where again it is easy for you to get a visa or if you prefer the Maldives which whilst being quiet on the disco scene is very romantic of course. All of these places are easy for you to get a visa and yes I would arrange that for you no problem. VISA Vermont June is one of the nicest times to leave the city and be at home in Vermont. Spring turns to summer, swimming in the moonlight through crystal clear lakes, dancing, music and campfires, sunbathing amidst the wildflowers. January is a better time for surfing in Hawaii. I may not be what you thought you were looking for, but it's a good life if you want to dive in. One of the theater companies I work for has had plenty of success getting artist's visas from unlikely countries through the Vermont state house. VISA USA Hey all you hopeful guys wanting to bring Nika to the US. This is much easier said then done, so before you promise anything please look into the visa regulations for Ukrainians. Being married to Luba from Ukraine I know all about that. Most Ukrainians are unfortunately unwanted in most countries. Summer Days Hi Nika- Where could we go in July? Well, the easy answer is anywhere. I would love to get back to Greece or perhaps southern Italy for a visit. If it is hot that you want, then you need to look no further than Florida in the summertime! South Beach is beautiful all times of the year, I think you'd like it. The Beach The sad thing is that I was plannig on visiting Ukraine and Russia in June but had to cancel due to work... Plus I'll be in Japan from the end of July through August, so going to a beach before then sounds like a great idea. There's plenty of nice beaches here in LA, but I'm thinking that we would have to meet in the Caribbean or Cancun... We could enjoy the sun and do some scuba diving... Cape Town in July Privet Nika ! There is only one place to be in July and that's Cape Town!!! Go check it out on Google ! There are many beaches around Cape Town, you can choose busy ones, or secluded quiet ones! Cape Town is one of the most beautiful Cities in the world, July is winter in SA, but the temperatures are much hotter that your home between 20 & 25 degrees Celsius. Nika, I know Sydney is a long distance from the Ukraine but it gets very hot in summer, and even the winters are probably warmer than Ukrainian summers! Visa issues are also easier than the USA. USA Visa issues really depend on the type of visa you're trying to get. If you are just visiting, you can get a visa pretty easily. Marriage visas can be a bit more complicated, apparently. Holiday If the US was possible, Newport and Laguna Beach for some relaxing times on the beach, great dinning & a wonderful night life. As for overseas it would be the Mediterranean, never been and what a diverse and beautiful place. I simply want a beautiful beach, fine dining and the right person to share it with. Motorcycle Hi, Nika... You mentioned a motorcycle (re. applicant 13) but I don't see any mention from him about a motorcycle. I wonder if you got mixed up and meant me? I'm Applicant #12. My motorcycle is a very big, comfortable 1200cc cruiser in two-tone black and metallic green. I like to think it's British Racing Green... But no, it is not very dangerous. Just dangerous enough to be a lot of fun! When you've been riding as long as I have you learn to avoid dangerous situations. I only ever ride in my leisure time so there's never any real rush to get somewhere. Well, I hope you meant to address me with your comment. Of course, I would be excited to let you ride on the back of my motorcycle - even if you really meant the other guy!! Ha ha! You would feel very safe roaring along the beautiful canyons and down to the California coast with me. The motorcycle bags have plenty of places to put your purse, bikini and make-up bag! Just lean back on the back-rest and let your hair blow in the breeze! We could even shop for clothes in Malibu and have room for our purchases. Does that sound like fun? Am I serious HI Nika I'm 11 ha ha. Do you remember the bond movies? NO Nika I'm not so serious dont worry. I have a typically wacky sense of humour that ranges from Monty Python to Black Adder Goes forth :) In fact I always say that "Everything will be alright once the cream custard arrives" This of course will make more sense once you watch black adder goes forth! I am however a typical English gentleman so you need to be careful as I might seduce you with my charm :) The picture where I look like George Michael (so Im told) was taken by my photographer friend Nick as we drove over the alps past the Eiger. The car you mention sadly has gone :( I traded it in two weeks ago for my new car an Aston Martin V8 vantage mmmm which is nearly as sexy as you are. In fact the only thing that is missing from this new car is you in the passenger seat driving past St Moritz on the way to Milan for some shopping. Nika's Mr. Right I'm glad to see there are more guys applying to be Nika's Mr. Right! When I posted my previous comments it seemed like everyone was too self-deprecating to believe that Nika would pick them as her Mr. Right. Nika seems to be a genuinely honest girl looking for a real man to make her life complete. She needs someone who will take her hand and guide her to a fulfilling life where she can fulfill her potential. This could be the most ordinary man inthe world or the most extraordinary man. Only time will tell. Of course, none of us knows what life has in store for us and that's what makes every new day exciting! I have no idea how this thing will turn out but I'm very intrigued to see who she picks and how they fare. I wish everyone the best in this endeavor. Nika deserves to find her special person, someone who will bring out the best in her. Life is often a lottery and things don't always go as planned but you get from life what you put in. Unfortunately we are all conditioned to be addicted to instant-gratification and we must accept that love comes in its own time. If Nika doesn't find her man through this competition then I believe that her destiny will find her when she least expects it.
