Hegre Girl seeks Mr. Right: Alya's Diary
Wednesday, August 22nd, 4.49 AM Hello diary. A diary is a book of secrets. I think to have a diary is important. My regular diary is a pink book and it is very sacred to me. I write in it to remember moments or when something unexpected is happening. I am right now in a challenging phase of my life. I live with my parents in the Ukraine, but it is time to break out and start a new life with a caring and responsible and 100% loving partner. I wish everybody to have a good day and I am looking forward in your responses.

Alya Tuesday, September 11th, 6.49 AM Summer is over :-( I am back in University in Kiev. I study interior and furniture design. I work hard and I hope to be a famous artist one day :-) I am also interested in photography, and working with Petter has taught me a lot. I am also into pop-art and love beautiful and colorful things around us. I love to use my senses and live to the fullest.
I love to travel. I like cosmopolitan places and being surrounded by an international crowd. The world has become so small. This is good and bad. It's bad because global warming affects us all, historical locations are drowning and our children might never see them :-(, but good because I can go everywhere in short time :-) Tomorrow I go to Jordan for 4 days to shoot for a magazine.
I want one day to be part of a happy family who I can share everything in life with.

Thursday, October 18th, 9.16 AM Sorry everyone for my absence. Life is not always easy. I go to university every day to study interior design... but I don't know if that is what I want to do. I want to paint. I want to paint BIG pictures on walls. One time a restaurant asked me to paint a wall for them. It was the most fun job I ever had. Here in Ukraine it is cold now. I don't like to be alone. I like to be in love and to be in a relation ship. I am still young, so I am not worried. I have many friends. We like to go to typical Ukrainian restaurants and eat verenki and borsch. At weekends I like to go to clubs, but my university takes so much I must stay disciplined... but I like to do crazy things. I like to do the unexpected. Destiny is leading my way... this Mr. Right thing could change my life or not...
I look at all the photos and read your words. Some are nice and funny. Others are not my type. Please give me some more time. And don't be afraid to ask me questions. Are there no one from Australia ? I hear so good things about Australia :-) So far away.
Alya Monday, November 19th, 6.26 AM Hello every one. I have made my choices. it was not easy. I have started corresponding with # 6 and #30. They are from Paris and Milan. Bonjour "F" and Ciao "M" ;-) Having visited Paris previously and Milan being a fashion metropolis I already feel at home there. I hope to go there soon to meet my new friends face to face. I also liked some of the applicants from the States, but it is so far away and there are always visa issues.
I thank you all for writing me and believing in me. I will come back later and write a few lines on how it goes.

I recently joined Hegre Art and missed your ‘Hegre Girl seeks Mr. Right’! Man, I feel bad now! Wish I hadn’t seen this… I joined Hegre Art because of you (did the same on Met Art; my apologies to the Hegre staff for mentioning this site…).
I think you are very beautiful: you have a gorgeous body but I mostly like your sparkling eyes and long hair.
Hope to see more sets of you … because that might lessen my distress.

Hey there is at least one applicant who agrees with what you wrote Lawrence! Education is extremely important, and myself i would not be happy with a woman who feels dependent on me. Now, I think that you forgot one point, Russian girls are strong ones and they generally perfectly know what they do! And i personnally don't think that Alya would be someday "depending" on anyone. I just hope for her that she finds the right person to love.

Alya: I’m not looking for a relationship right now but I wanted to tell you a couple of things. This you have heard before but I will tell you anyway; you are beautiful young women, my favorite model. It is a good situation that you can share yourself. This is what I want to communicate to you: you are young and you will meet Mr. Right someday. But I understand you are perusing higher education. This is the most important path you can take in your life. If you continue it will give you INDEPENDACE. The applicants will not like what I say, but I have the right to my opinion. I understand you want love; we all do—it only depends how much we know ourselves. If you marry now---obtain citizenship in a first world country, you will be dependent on him. That may work and be ok but it might not. I’m not saying looking for Mr. Right will not work out or is the wrong path. I just want you to think deeply—better yet research; think about it. As an educated woman you will always have choices. Attractive, educated, and a personality as you have----you will always be able find, and choose who you will love and make a partnership with.
It is strange that I’ve written you; life is sometimes strange!

That's good to hear from you after this long silence, but you're forgiven ;))So you like art definitely, right? which kinds of art are you interested in beyond design? Do you like modern art? music? can you play any instrument? would you like to learn any? What kind of painting do you like/do? | Thanks to mother nature
Alya looks so nice, and so fragile at the same time. But I know/guess she has very strong character and knows what she wants. That's what I personally find very charming and interesting. Beauty is good to get of course but what is in the head is obviously more important in the long term... Alya is a lucky person who was given both by mother nature. | rainbow colored thoughts
I came to hegre-art from a photography book, and am impressed with Petter's consistency. A few good shots are easy, but ALWAYS making goot photos, that is hard.
THe Mr. Right idea is pure genius! What a great way to keep us viewers dreaming rainbow colored thoughts of splendor, beauty, youthful energy, and joy.
I wonder who writes the introductions to each model. THey are written wonderfully. Is it a professional writer?
It is fascinating to think about what kinds of hopes and dreams and expectations arise from someone who decides to play along in this Mr. Right experiment. We all can't wait to find one day a diary entry about how the first dates went...
Philosophizing further, I'm wondering how models handle the often-quoted challenge of fending off, well, how shall I put it, not-so-subtle advances by the opposite gender. As a part-time DJ, I get to see my share of not-so wonderful "scenes" in clubs, and it's always the pretty girls who have to deal with it.
It makes me sad, because it might make you think that most men are only interested in one thing. Well, many are, and it is probably not easy to figure out which ones are capableof true love, and which ones are just faking it to get what they want from a woman...
I wish petter had a blog somewhere, in a photography special-interest site. No offense, I would of course very much like to meet a beautiful girl from Odessa or Bucharest or whereever, but I would really like to meet Petter and ask him what he learned from Richard Avedon about finding and working with models.
