We had rented a villa in the outskirts of Mexico City in an area called Jiutepec Morelos. On our way there we picked up some Profoto flashes at La Condesa Df and two beautiful Argentinean models named Flora and Ama. Due to the tough financial situation in Buenos Aires they had both moved to Mexico in search of better opportunities.
We arrived at our rental villa “Quinta la Maestra” late at night, unpacked our stuff and hit the sack.
“Quinta la Maestra” proved to be an excellent location with endless backdrops and settings - and the girls performed beautifully. It was Ama's first time posing nude and she easily fit into her role as the sensual muse. And Flora, being an ex-playboy model in Mexico, was simply a natural knock out, far from her typical artificially enhanced colleagues across the border to the north. As you can see from today's sneak previews these 2 models will win many hearts here on Hegre-art.com.
After sunset we packed up and headed back to Mexico City, spending our last night at the famous Bob Schalkwijk house - a photographic legend in Mexico. On our way my father called me and asked what precautions we were taking for the swine flu. My first reaction was: "what swine flu???!!!” And that was the moment we realized the epidemic were right in the middle of! So we rushed to Bob's house and our touristic activities for next morning were cancelled.
The flight back to Europe was a funny sight. Over 400 passengers and all personnel on the plane wearing masks, and with every sneeze or cough it sent a shiver through the crowd. And after I got back home I could not kiss my dear Luba for a week until it was clear that I did not have any symptoms.
Hope you enjoyed the trip.
